Turning Lives Around is our fundraising appeal to raise awareness of our work. It features real life stories of how we supported people during their time of need and helped them to turn their lives around.
Last year over 2,000 people were helped by our welfare services and donations will ensure we can be there for more people who need us in 2019.

New Year, a new What’s On and we’ve got new classes and activities for you
How about learning to tap dance with our adapted class, led by former 42nd St dancer, Kirsty Fuller. Or, starting in January we have a variety of 6-week IT courses for beginners and those a bit more advanced, as well as Internet and email sessions. There are trips and talks and a Valentine’s party involving some red carpet …!

Merton Live!
Wimbledon Guild and New Wimbledon Theatre are holding a brand-new community event on Saturday 26 January from 10am-5pm to celebrate local talent in Merton.
Merton Live! will showcase a plethora of local bands, dance, drama and gymnastics groups with performances throughout the day at one of London’s biggest theatres. In addition, the theatre will be throwing open its doors for ticket-holders to explore this historic building with backstage tours and a host of theatre related activities for all the family including: workshops; dressing up in theatre costumes; face painting; insight to technical side of the theatre; arts and crafts; treasure hunt plus lots more. Wimbledon took part in Urban Harvest and Merton Arts Festival
In September our two art groups showcased examples of their drawing, painting and crafts as part of Merton Arts Festival at Guild House.
We also opened up our Community Garden as part of Capital Growth’s Urban Harvest. We organised activities like bug house making, competitions and quizzes.

Wimbledon Windmilers running & triathlon club to host quarter marathon race
Local running and triathlon club Wimbledon Windmilers is organising the Autumn Quarter Marathon on Saturday 29th September and proceeds from the race will be donated to two local charities, Wimbledon Guild and Stem 4. This rare race covers an unusual distance - 10.55km/6.55miles - and will take runners across the most beautiful part of Wimbledon Common

Imogen is a Wimbledon Guild Befriender and has now swum over 23k to fundraise for us
Imogen set herself a challenge of competing in 3 swimming races over the summer to raise money for us. She's completed them all successfully - clocking up over 23kms and raising more than £700 in the process. A huge thank you to Imogen from everyone at Wimbledon Guild for a tremendous effort. Make yourself feel great! Join one of our Yoga classes
Yoga has proved so popular here at the Wimbledon Guild that we are now running two classes per week: Tuesday 2-3pm and Friday 10.30-11.30am. The Friday class is with the same great class and teacher - just with a little more mat work. It's the same great price too! (£4).
